We provide support for those affected by acquired brain injury (ABI). The incidence of ABI is very high, affecting nearly one in three people at some point in their life. The effects can change lives forever and being in many cases largely invisible to the outside world. Typically, rehabilitation services focus on the early stages of care and leaving the long-term and continuing needs unmet. Unable to return to work or school in many cases leads to isolation and high levels of loneliness. The Silverlining Charity removes all barriers to connection ensuring that no survivors have to face brain injury alone. We also facilitate community activities in our 6 regional areas. London, Manchester, Surrey, Oxford, Bath-Bristol, West Midlands.
The Silverlining provides opportunities for free and low-cost activities for people affected by brain injury. These opportunities cultivate lifelong friendship, community, and practical support, empowering members to rebuild their lives with purpose and connection. Through advocacy, creativity, and shared experience, we work together greater quality of life for all brain injury survivors. What began as a few people coming together for support has blossomed into a network of regional hubs, a thriving online community and a calendar of creative, purposeful activities. Silverliner’s come together to heal, learn and inspire each other- proving again and again that...
